Nothin’ but Blue Skies do I See

Today is one of those rare San Diego days when the sky is overcast. But I’m still thrilled to see them; I’m looking out at them from our new offices! That’s right, we somehow managed to move offices after Balboa Park December Nights and before the holidays. What an amazing feat! We’re now in the Executive Complex, just across the street from the Spreckles Theater Building where we were, but miles apart in that we now have heat, air conditioning, cleaning crews…and windows that look out at our beautiful city!

2007 was a great year for the BID Council, and it certainly ended on a positive note with the 30th Annual Balboa Park December Nights. Even with the rain (ah, the skies again!) we had over 200,000 attendees at the event. Also in the past year, we started a Legislative Committee, held the BID Council’s first retreat in years, printed the BID Council’s first newsletters in years, changed our logo, created and printed an 18-month calendar of San Diego’s BIDs, and had some major staff changes. We also revamped several of our programs (Micro Districts, Special Events) and started holding board mixers.

2008 begins with a bang…new offices, new website! Here’s to a happy and successful 2008!
